materialising_DEMPSEY, my current project for design module, makes me realize how and why I fall in love with Architecture in the first place. Its about how ideas are connected, and how these ideas are presented graphically. Sure, there are times I get stuck with no ideas, but when one idea comes in, the entire mind gets flooded with a million more. It’s about how one can have his “eureka” moment at any place, at any time. It’s about looking at things at a macro and micro scale, and about de-constructing something we see into its essence.
I remember pouring through books, looking at how problems are solved through design, how intentions are brought across, and how problems that hinder these design intentions are solved through design.
I remember the overwhelming disapproval from parents and relatives on this course, stating that its taxing, its expensive, blah blah blah. Nonetheless, I like what I’m doing now, and that ain’t gonna change.
