The new generation see the invasion of the “i“. Biao posted the video on iNvade, which sees mad TV pokin fun on the irack war (I know we Asians pronounce it as “Ee-rak”, but hey, its the USA, whatever shit they say counts). Mootz talks about how Osim and Apple fights over who got dibs on using the “i” and “u“, with i-leen being the ispokesman on the victory of apple.
Visit the Osim website now and you will see a whole list of ipoke, isqueeze, icare, igogo and the latest upapa (!!??). Looking at these names alone simply makes me proud to be singaporean. Switch over to the Apple website, and your computer will be spammed with more iproducts (iPod, iBook and iTunes).
This brings about my point. Osim is trying its best to emulate the success of Apple Inc., and must have come to a conclusion that the “i” serves as an good luck charm. Riding on the success of the “i“, Osim starts to spam all its products with an “i” in front. Wanting a little production differentiation, they started using the “u” too.
In an attempt to aid Osim, I’ve since decided to come up with 2 products for Osim free of charge, being the generous person that I am. The first product is meant to target the local students, and specializes in maximising the creativity levels with the brain. It is designed as a headgear, and wearing it will makes you think better. Though this product is meant for students, I strongly recommend it to Osim advertising dept. Like the Osim trademark, it is definitely not without its “u“.
I call this magnificient product the “uMustBeDrunkToThinkOfSuchNamesForYourProducts”. I know that its a long name, but it certainly fitting for Osim.
The next product focusses mainly on laughter. As they say, laughter is the best medicine. This products basically flashes all the product names that Osim have come up with, and this sure packs a punch. I mean, who would have been so ingenious to come up with a product named “upapa” and “ipoke”.
I call this product the “iLaughedTillDeathLookingAtTheseNames“. Such a name is most befitting for such a wonderful product.
As Ali G would have said “aiite“, “i“.
